Weirdest bug I've seen so far (Destiny)

by DiscipleN2k @, Edmond, OK, Thursday, October 22, 2015, 16:21 (3416 days ago)

I started up yesterday's daily heroic, crossed the abyss bridge, and headed into the sword bridge area. Then this happened.

I somehow got warped to the end of the mission and frozen in place. I could jump, but couldn't actually move in any direction. I wish I would have realized I was stuck right away. It might have been fun to see how long I could have fought from there :)

That actually looks like what happens when you cross one of the red lines. You got seen. :)

Yep, this is just what happens when you get caught, or in your case run out of the room before you are cloaked.

You have a debuff called "Exhausted" and you basically can't use abilities or move. I have had this happen quite a bit. I have jacked around a lot on this level, particularly when running it with friends (it just feels like a race... Somehow I end I up getting seen trying to run past something I can't). When it happens in a fireteam you all get pulled in and can't move.

Huh. You know, apparently I've never been seen on that mission before. I just assumed you'd become visible where you stood and would get jumped by everyone in the area. This is way more fun :p

Exact same thing happened to me this weekend. It was super confusing.

I think I know what causes this.

Just a theory, but I know that if you sprint too long you will become visible. I wonder if the system that deals with that doesn't take into account that you just went visible and says "He's been sprinting for too long! Make him visible!"

Claude's right. Since you were sprinting, your cloak dissipated, and a Knight (likely right under the stairs) spotted you. Note the "Deathsingers sense your light" text on the bottom left. You get teleported to the Deathsingers, which is essentially an automatic wipe.

apparently there are grimoire cards for Oryx's daughters, but you only get it if you kill them in this mission (raid doesn't count).

I read on reddit, that you basically have to stay in the puddle when you jump down the hole, and slowly whittle them away with sniper and scout rifles. supposedly, losing your cloak that far back will not hurt you; you are too far away to be "seen."

From what i read, it takes awhile to do since you are in third person.

Losing your cloak won't hurt you, but if you fire again before you are completely cloaked again you will be caught.

Yep. Me and Blackstar did it and it took us forever!

Ugh.

I mean . . . it's neat I guess. But I'm thinking these are grimoire cards I'll never have. I've got better shit to do that stand in the back of a room and snipe at enemies for an hour.

They made the new Strikes and Raid almost impossible to cheese, then made cards that you have to cheese to get. Sounds awesome.

It took less than 10 minutes. And it was pretty fun. :)

It took us a lot longer. I think final time was 30 minutes.

As for fun...it's fun bullshitting with your friends, yes. Alone, I wouldn't say so.

EDIT: OH WAIT. We did it on the daily heroic! It is probably much easier on the normal one.

Well, that does make me feel better. Funkmon made it sound like a pain in the ass. I see the reason it was, now.

Just wait for Bingle to fix them not giving the cards during the raid. Or, if this is the intended way of obtaining the cards, stop caring about a meaningless number.
