Is it just me, or do items more frequently drop in the range of being actual light upgrades since the last hotfix?

I know they fixed nightfall rewards somewhat, but I'm noticing that at lvl299, every time I clear a vanguard strike, generally at least one of the boss drops will be 290+ whereas before I would get maybe one 290+ a week.

All of mine are in the 260s despite me being 306. Grrrrr.
