A little while back we were talking about how many legendary marks you could earn a week and most agreed you could only order 3 Armsday Orders each week even at Gunsmith Rank 5. Apparently that's not quite right as I just ordered 5 Armsday Orders with my Hunter... at Gunsmith Rank 3. Did I maybe get extra since I kinda forgot to order anything with my Hunter last week?

Normal behavior
You can buy 1 per rank of Gunsmith, up to being able to buy all 5 offered.
ProTip: If you forget to buy some one week or can't afford it before he disappears, just be in the tower over rollover. When his stock refreshes, you'll be able to buy the previous week's items. Then go to orbit and they'll all refresh to the finished product. When you land, he'll be selling the new stuff.

Yeah... but my Hunter is Rank 3. Even my Titan is only Rank 4. So what gives?

I thought you were saying your level 5 guy could buy all 5. Maybe gunsmith unlocks are account-wide?

Previously it was one per level up to 3.
But then maybe 2 weeks ago I was able to buy 5 on my level 2 Warlock.
No idea when it changed, if it's a bug, or if it was patched.

Yeah, pretty much the same. Most weeks I forget to even order my weapons.
But I was at rank four and it capped me at 3 guns, while a few weeks ago I was able to buy 5.
They're kind of expensive, though.
Can confirm this has changed...

I was rank 4 3 weeks ago and could only get 3. I hit rank 5 and the past 2 weeks have gotten all 5. Not sure what changed, but last week it was painful having 5 primary slots taken up all week. =)
I have a guess
I think the limiting factor wasn't your individual gunsmith rank, but actually the expected gunsmith rank of players who ranked up each week. So week 1 you could buy 1 gun. Week 2 you could buy 2, week 5 you could buy 5. Since he doesn't sell more than 5, that's it, you're capped at 5.
Some people were able to rank up more quickly by doing all of the rep stuff on the Tuesday that the game launched and then getting brand new rep guns the very next day (wednesday/armsday), which is why they were 1 rank ahead of the number of weeks that the xpac had been out for.

I'm fairly sure it's per character.
If not, it would be confusing since each character has their own gunsmith rank.

Yeah, that's what I would guess too, but you never know... Maybe that's the bug?
