Not with a bang... (Destiny)
So, I went to HBO and saw this news post.
First, thanks Claude, for keeping her running for so long.
Second, I can't understate the value of the DBO FTB. Would a Halo category and Halo FTB widget for DBO be out of the question?
I know Halo 5 is not a Destiny game, and not a Bungie game, and this is a Destiny Bungie community, but, uh.. I kind've feel like this place is more about the people than the details, and some of these people are going to be playing both.

I can't echo this enough. I have never participated in the Guilt'O'Lantern, but I've always enjoyed seeing other's masterful creations. I'm sad there weren't enough entries this year. But a huge thanks to Claude (and those that donated prizes, I assume?) for setting it up this year. It was a good run.
As for the FTB, I think Funkmon made a Halo 5 story event, but I'm not sure how people would feel about it being used for Halo on a regular basis. I certainly would welcome it, as I plan on playing H5 quite a bit for a while. It doesn't seem that many on my friends list from around here have made the jump from Destiny, so I am definitely looking for folks to go into both Arena and Warzone with.

All this 343 and dead franchise junk in this wonderful Destiny safe place. Spooky. Can we add Fallout and Battlefront stuff to DBO also since lots of us here are gonna be doing that, too? Support the non-dead franchises and such.

This forum currently hosts non-Destiny discussion and this FTB currently hosts non-Destiny events. It has, and if nothing changes, it will continue to. It might not be incredibly frequent, but it occurs.
I'm just suggesting there be a segregation, such that people can easily filter-out non-Destiny content, but it would also be available for those that want to see it.
My suggestion is actually more effective than yours at accomplishing your objective of "only Destiny", unless you're suggesting admins actively start deleting non-Destiny content.

I think it might be a little weird to create specific categories for a non-Destiny game, but I don't see where it would be a problem if people used the "custom" activity field for a DBO meet-up in Halo or GTA or something else every once in a while, as long as it didn't overwhelm the Destiny focus. :)
I didn't have the time, pumpkin, nor implements. The other day I actually stopped at the store and got a pumpkin so I could enter even though it would be crap (one one se7en design, obv), brought it to my parents' house to carve in their backyard the next day, where it got done not by me as a pig. I didn't worry about it. I was sure people would do it last minute and fill up.
I also posted about it on the Halo subreddit where nobody gave a shit. :(.
I noticed a lot of pumpkins this year were painted or not carved anyway. I wonder if the internet trend for 1337 carvings has gone down a bit and not as many people are bothering.
Like, if you had a Halo Harlem Shake (or whatever that was) parody video contest nobody would bother either.
