Fallout 4 Shooting Influenced By Destiny (Destiny)
Apparently one of the reasons Josh Hamrick was hired to work at Bethesda was because Bethesda liked the way the shooting felt in Destiny.
Gotta be honest, I did not like Fallout 3, and one of my primary complaints about Fallout 3 was that VATS was super slow, and the FPS elements sucked. This makes me a lot more interested in Fallout 4.

Same. Loved Oblivion, and I loved Skyrim, but really did not like Fallout 3, and a part of that was the crappy FPS, which is serviceable, but it felt really stiff.
Not interested in Fallout 4, but I'll definitely be paying attention to the way it's received by the fanbase.

I pre-ordered it 30 minutes ago. I liked Fallout 3. It had it's problems, but it was still good. I can't wait to see how they have improved upon the previous games though!

I liked the vats. It was one of the things that really felt like old Fallout. I like the turn based stuff. The non vats shooting was meh, I agree there. Hopefully both are improved.

See and I really liked VATS while I was using it, it was the ridiculously long wait for action points to recharge that drove me crazy.

Yeah, good point. I invested heavily in all the AP perks I could get as a result.
I'm not sure if there is a good compromise between turn based and real time, but hopefully they can manage it.

Well, I liked Fallout 3 and New Vegas quite a lot, but I have to admit the shooting outside of VATS didn't seem particularly good. I ran a character with high AP geared toward accuracy and critical damage specifically so that I could use VATS as much as possible. If Fallout 4 has improved the standard FPS aspects vs the previous games, it'll be a good thing.

"Hoarding all the crap."
Hah, thanks for posting this Xenos. I haven't been keeping up with video game news for a while and Fallout 4 has come out of nowhere to be the game I'm most excited for in the near future. Bethesda has made some of my favorite games of all time so it was great to see Todd Howard getting me excited about stuff again. I liked Fallout 3, especially its style and humor, but 4 looks like its improving on it in every way.

Yeah I'm actually pretty excited about it against my own judgement :). I was super excited about Fallout 3, but did not enjoy it. I'm really hoping Fallout 4 is as fun to me as it looks.

I loved Fallout 3, but I just can't get excited for Fallout 4. Don't get me wrong, I want to play it, but I'm just not sure I can handle another huge game right now. I'm like only halfway through the Witcher 3 and also just started Divinity Original Sin.
Also, when it comes to Bethesda games, I'd always take another Elder Scrolls over Fallout. Even though everyone pretty much knew they'd be working on Fallout 4 after Skyrim, I was still hoping for The Elder Scrolls 6 to be their first title for this round of consoles.
