Alternatively, if you knew enough of his information, you could just buy it on his account. Or from his PS3. As long as he is logged into his PS3, you can add credit cards without account information. OR buy a gift card, add the cash, buy the game.
Yeah, I don't live near him unfortunately. Hhm, I'm considering the gift card route, just hoped to avoid it.
