Banshee-44 has remembered where he was keeping his stores of Weapon Parts, and now sells them for Glimmer

haha, that's great.

I've got a bunch of guns on my alts that need weapon parts to unlock nodes and be infused. Banshee is gonna get rich off me tonight.

Nope. I was expecting 5 for 500. 1500 glimmer isn't too bad for fully upgrading an exotic. I earn that on any night just casually running strikes.

I guess I'm coming from a point where I've got about 20 weapons with all nodes unlocked, waiting for weapon parts. The lack of weapon parts has become a substantial bottle neck for me in terms of upgrading and ascending my gear.

I'm in the same shoes as you on "needing" to upgrade my weapons. I have probably 15-20 right now that I haven't touched the upgrades on due to lack of weapon parts. However, I find the pricing more than fair.

People cap out their glimmer pretty fast. At least you hardcore people. And capped out Glimmer is worth 500 weapon parts. Personally I think it's almost too cheap.

A few Iron Banners ago, I started vaulting House Banners, Silken Codexes, etc, because I was tired of having to scramble for enough glimmer to buy the stuff I'd unlocked in the short time between when I unlocked it and when IB ended.

Not long after that, there stopped being a real use for Glimmer (now IB goodies are bought with Marks, for example).

I've got over 100k in glimmer in my vault at this point (on top of the 25k in my pocket). I'm glad there's something to spend it on. :)

I am actually not out of weapon parts (I've currently got about 900)... but I'm happy there's a place I can buy them when I DO run out (since everyone seems to, at some point).

I upgrade everything I keep (and my characters, and vault, are currently almost full) - I think I must run more weapon-parts-generating activities than most people.

That's 500 weapon parts if you are maxed out on glimmer. Considering I have maxed glimmer and 700 weapon parts, I can double my haul. It doesn't seem too bad.

I have approximately 0 weapon parts, and almost 20 weapons with all upgrades unlocked but not purchased. I'll burn through 500 parts in no time :)

always put your network keyes, axiomatic beads, house banners and silken codex's in your vault.

This way, there is effectively no glimmer cap. I wish i had done this all along, but only started when TTK came out. I have 30,400 glimmer stored in my vault right now.

by Beorn @, <End of Failed Timeline>, Tuesday, November 17, 2015, 19:32 (3389 days ago) @ Schedonnardus

I feel like Ascendant and Radiant materials were always easier to come by than the enemy faction-specific drops. Ever since we could sell them to the Speaker for Glimmer, I've been storing Energies and Shards in my Vault as a backup cash supply. Shards sell for 250 Gl each and Energies sell for 200 (you actually have to convert them into Shards, which costs 50 Gl).

Which means that on Xbox, my 326 Shards is worth a cool 81,500 Gl. I've always had fewer resources on PS4, but I still have 95 Shards there worth 23,750 Gl.

As of now, my PS4lock has 1 Weapon Part. That will change next time I log in. :)

i hadn't thought about that since i don't run the old raids very much. I guess if someone had time to kill, you could solo the crota's end up to the deathsinger each week (or find a group willing to speed run the whole thing).

I think a less immersion breaking way of keeping people in the map than having barriers would be to simply have the sun start doing damage to a player who walks out too far.

I wonder if they'll buff radiance to compensate for the general grenade/melee cooldown nerfs that they did. Using it for anything other than the rez is almost a joke now, even with HotPF, which used to turn you into a murder machine...

if you have max discipline, you get grenades pretty fast during radiance. I spec'd for max discipline during trials, so that i would have a grenade at the start of every round. During radiance i was spamming grenades pretty quickly.

That's the issue; the cooldown for Max discipline is 25 seconds, I think. It used to be 15 seconds before they overhauled the whole system, and that carries over into Radiance, where your grenade cooldown (assuming that your Discipline is maxed out) is about 75% slower than it used to be. So if you have max Discipline and extended Radiance, you can still spam quite a few, but otherwise Sunsingers have seen a substantial, possibly unintended nerf... And that's besides the fact that Sunsingers barely make any orbs at all now, when we used to put the other classes to shame...

Fixed an issue where the Tower was featured for Red Bull questlines in the Director for non-eligible players

Heh. Good thing I didn't drink any of those. ;-)

Fixed an issue where the Daughters of Oryx death scream volume was too loud

Just turn your volume down, babies.

Fixed an issue where joining players during certain phases of the Paradox mission would start an alternate encounter

Ooh, Easter eggs?

Fixed an issue that prevented the Mercy Rule from properly disabling players from joining in-progress

THANK YOU.

Warlock Radiance kills will now award +10 points to bring it in line with other Supers.

These points stack on grenade, melee, and precision bonuses

Again, thanks for that. Solar Lives Matter.

Drop rates for Legendary Items in Normal Crucible have been increased

No percentage?

Subclass quests no longer require the player to unlock them one sub-class at a time

I'm WELL past all of that, but it'll be good for the new players.

Quest and bounty steps that previously required wins now only require match completion

I'm glad you guys got it together on that...eventually.

This has actually been a really positive patch notes!

Hopefully we'll get more like these in the future.

correct, there was a documented glitch before "No Time to Explain" was known about. Someone found out how to glitch into the encounter and get the ghost shell. You had to stand on the vex gate in a certain spot (i think while looking down) and hold x while someone joined your fireteam (or something like that).

Wow, talk about edge case... This folks is why it takes hundreds of thousands of live testers to find bugs :-)
