I think the Paradox fix was the secret one with the big minotaur, and not an easter egg.

correct, there was a documented glitch before "No Time to Explain" was known about. Someone found out how to glitch into the encounter and get the ghost shell. You had to stand on the vex gate in a certain spot (i think while looking down) and hold x while someone joined your fireteam (or something like that).
