You can usually find them for $30-$40 by third party resellers.

Also, Please note that microsoft removed the option to stack memberships using prepaid codes. So if you plan on buying multiples then you must hold on to the card, or store the code digitally for up along time.

No longer allowing the cards to stack has really ticked me off. I currently have two cards that I scratched off to reveal the code and enter in only to end up spending an hour with customer support telling me that the error code is because I couldn't redeem the live code until my old one expired. So now I have two cards that look like trash sitting and waiting to be used years down the road.

CD-Keys usually has the 12mo subscription cardsfor around 30-35. I've used them in the past and have not had issues. They also have a really nice support team if you get stuck or have issues.

i don't mind holding on to them. I tend to be careful with 3rd party retailers, b/c some of them look shady, or may have poor security. I tend to trust Amazon (though they aren't infallible).
