One final Raid is all that remains (Destiny)

So, hi.

I haven't posted here since I was in the middle of my week-long vacation in New Zealand. I also haven't logged into Destiny since before I left, in late September.

Putting micro-transactions into a game I've already spent a small fortune on (comparably) isn't the worst thing ever, but it did build on top of all my other qualms to push me over the line.

It's become clear in the weeks following that "Bungie's current/future plans for Destiny" and my views for "what makes a good game product" aren't really cohesive. So I stopped. That's all I figure I can really do to try to get a sincere message across. I didn't make this post to argue or debate.

The Vault of Glass- removed from Destiny's RNG loot system- is one of my all-time favourite things in video games. It's up there with assaulting the Citadel on "The Covenant", or building crazy maps in "Sandbox" with a bunch of friends.

Almost exactly a year ago, I got through it "flawless" with four of the many friends I made here. That's easily the best experience I've had in Destiny to date, and I'm very thankful that you guys were willing to let me be a part of that, and all the ups and downs that have happened here since.

If any of you are willing, I'd like to run through VoG again, whenever schedules permit.

And after that? Who knows? Maybe they'll get it right in Destiny 2.
