That worked. Weird. (It shows your B.net profile name as one of the hits... but still shows no activity. However, next to an Xbox icon, it shows your gamertag - which shows your character.)

I don't think I can see him without a helmet... but if I jump into gear, I can sort of zoom in a little.

As somebody on Reddit points out you can view your Guardian wearing any gear that you couldn't equip due to level requirements via the companion app, so if you had a bunch of level 9+ rares hanging about in your inventory or the vault, you can view them (one at a time only, sadly) by tapping them, then tapping again to dismiss the message about level requirements:

Sadly it seems that the second time you do this (for me at least) always results in the app crashing, though…
(iPhone 5S, iOS 7.1.2 [11D257], if anyone from Bungie is reading.)
