Gamereactor Interview (Destiny)

As seen on TV the front page...

Several good things there:

1. One single Raid at launch. More as time goes on.
2. Raids are long but will feature expiring checkpoints of some type so you can pick it up the next day presumably.
3. Bungie is still dealing with the fact that they didn't reveal the four destinations until just a few months before release. I feel kinda bad for DeeJ and the others as they have to explain that these four spaces are big and will have lots more to do, but at the same time Destiny has been public for a year and a half and they didn't tell us much about it. We didn't really know about explore mode till what? E3 2014? As positive as I usually am about Destiny I do think Bungie dug their own hole a bit in this area.

I may be crazy, but it kind of sounds like there are multiple activities or goals in the Raid also. This isn't the first time I've heard wording like this, but in this interview DeeJ says "Remember that thing we tried to do in the Raid 3 months ago." For some reason that wording implies to me that it's not just one activity. Like I said, it could just be that I'm crazy.

Seemed to imply that to me also, which would make sense if there are timed checkpoints, a cumulative reward system that enables you to go on to completion, even if you don't have the resources to do so from the outset.
