I like to do quick background checks on the contestants (Sweet RNGesus, using one random pumpkin photo, I was able to get the person's face and real name within a minute; careful what you put out there, folks!), and one of them brought up a yellow flag. This one, to be exact... it was apparently posted in 2011 at the Pumpkin Geek site, so I'm a bit suspicious. Of course, it's entirely possible that the guy himself submitted the photo (although what caught my eye is how familiar the photo looked, so I dunno if it's actually been submitted to the contest before), so who knows!

Heh - you're the second person to ask about that.

The pumpkin geek himself submitted that - and I looked at the rules again today, they say that you can't have entered your pumpkin to any previous contest, or sent it to us before the beginning of November of this year. He didn't violate either of those conditions.
