Fist of Havoc to survive tall drop in Vault of Glass? (Destiny)

by CruelLEGACEY @, Toronto, Wednesday, November 19, 2014, 13:56 (3455 days ago)

I was doing dishes last night, so naturally I was daydreaming about Destiny to pass the time. A thought occurred to me: Can Titans use the Fist of Havoc to safely clear the long drop after the templar?

Also, can the superman variant be used to clear the mega-man jump? Has anyone tried this?

Regarding your second point, The Superman ability has a range limit, where after a certain distance you curve into a vertical nosedive. I'll give it a shot next time I do the raid, though!

If you're talking about the jumping puzzle, I have seen Titans use FoH to cross the chasm, but they can't do it from the starting point. They have to make it across a few platforms first.

I regularly make it across the entire chasm in one leap with my titan's floaty jump, you just have to move to a starting point that is lower down & to the right. I start with a running jump.

I use shoulder charge to much the same effect.

*Videos* It works for Titans and Hunters!

Yes, you can Titan Smash your way down to the bottom of the post-Templar cliff jump. You can also use it to cross the jumping puzzle (you have to go to the left at the top, there's a cave that will lead to another ledge to jump down from).

Hunters can Bladedance their way across the jumping puzzle, too. Go to 3:45 in my video below to see me Bladedance across, followed by TTL Smack using his Titan Smash to rocket over.

Here's the Titan Smash from his perspective:

Titan Smash Jump

I highly recommend trying this, it's become a Raid tradition for me!
