Crota Challenge (Destiny)
I did a little reading on Reddit, and found a few potentially relevant facts:
You can ignore the first Oversoul when downing Crota. Downing him a second time triggers another Oversoul that replaces the first if it's still present.
A Celestial Nighthawk golden gun can one-shot the Oversoul. We used it to down Crota, but you can flip it so all but one is focused on Crota.
There's a place of safety from the boomers at the back near the no-longer-accessible ledge (but this puts the sword runner at more risk).
Weapons of Light and Sunsinger Viking Funeral Grenades can increase the damage done by the sword.
