Halo Season 2, Ep 6 (Fan Creations)

We already knew that from Season 1. I’m not sure why anyone expected Season 2 to be different in that respect.

The Reach episode was the best of the entire series up to this point. I’ve found the subsequent episodes a bit lacking, like the show is slipping into old habits again.

Nothing here is offensively bad, though. It’s not a great adaptation of the source material, granted, but if we look at it strictly as its own science-fiction story, it’s a lot better than Season 1.

I think the days of hoping that this show is going to provide a faithful adaptation of the pre-existing Halo lore are pretty much over. It is clear to me now (and frankly, was clear to me last season as well) that this is very much an “inspired by” sort of thing.
