With regard to Legendaries - it appears that if you acquire old legendaries during the dark below, they will get the higher max attack stat of the new legendaries. I got Prestige IV, and it topped out at 331. So it appears that you can still get and use old legendaries that are beefed up, but you simply can;t upgrade your current ones, and they are harder to get since they only come from engrams now.

That's good to know. There are quite a few "old" legendaries that I like a lot, and I was worried that they'd all just fade into Destiny history. Deviant Gravity should not be forgotten, dammit!
