I might have just found the problem - listen in at 8:16 during the load from the abyss into the bridge. There are two "Guardian Down" audio cues, even though no one actually dies.

Ooh, I hadn't thought of that. I remember getting the "Guardian down" notification, but I don't remember ever NOT getting that one, so I assumed it happened every time.

You and ChrisTheeCrappy were back a bit from the rest of us when the drops hit - perhaps everyone needs to pass through the barrier much closer together?

That makes sense. Sort of like entering a darkness zone in a strike before your teammates do and getting the "last guardian standing" message. Shoot. Well, I'm definitely down to do this again next time everyone's free.

...if the game considered us dead at that point, I wonder why it wouldn't show up that way in the final game stats.
