Watching streams is mostly about personality, and developing a personality that appeals to teenagers and/or the average person (moron) is going to increase your viewership a ton.

Slayer is great when he is running raids, AEGabriel is fun to watch absolutely roll over everyone in PvP but he almost never streams. Most of the top streamers are either really good at the game or an over-the-top personality.

But I haven't watched a Destiny stream in a couple of months. No idea if the two people I mentioned still stream it.
