Had the exact same thought.

One of my favorite games was Star Wars Episode I Racing (I'd google the exact name and post an image if I weren't on mobile and technologically slow). It came out around the turn of the century and I played it for hours on my blue Power Mac G3. It was extremely simple in concept but very well executed and a lot of fun. I've even tried to get it to play on an emulator, but, well, see parenthetical note above.

This feels like a merger of two of my favorite things. I'm excited.

The only time I ever called tech support was for this game. I was playing it on a G4 tower at the time, so it should have run fine. It did as long as I was pressing buttons, but as soon as I simply held buttons it would slow to a crawl.

I am completely shocked that the tech support guy found the solution: this was in OS 9, and there was a checkbox in power management that said "allow processor cycling" or something to that effect. I was supposed to let the processor slow down when it was idle, but for whatever reason that activated during the game.

Problem solved, but super strange!
