"Bungie" is adding these? (Destiny)

I notice articles are always using phrases like

The developers at Bungie just added more microtransactions

And I wonder if Bungie is actually the one making these decisions. Maybe it's holdover fanboyism here, but I feel that if articles are going to start dishing out blame we need to dish it out to Activision as well. I'm fairly certain they are the shot callers when it comes to how the game is monetized.
