It's not pay-to-win, but I fear that eventually it will start becoming that.

If it becomes that, my opinion changes. Until then... I don't really begrudge them the attempt to make money from people.

(Like you, I have no use for this product.)

I have no issue with this product in terms of its effect on the game or other players. My only problem with it is that it's a flagrant ripoff for anyone who buys it. A new player jumping in has no idea how long it takes to level up in Destiny. Getting from 1-25 might sound like a huge chunk of time, but the reality is most players can pull that off very quickly. It feels like very exploitive pricing to me.
