Chappy's King's Fall Stratagies (Destiny)
I've been raiding with some friends for over a year now and we're very comfortable with our King's Fall strategies at this point. Here's a "quick" overview:
Portal Phase: Fireteam splits into 3 two-man teams. One team stays at spawn to focus on clearing enemies. The left pair and right pair trade relic duty between themselves. After a wave is cleared for the relic runners, the two people not holding the relics head back to grab the next relic as the current relic runners head to place them.
Totem Phase: Fireteam splits into 2 three-man teams. One person should always be at the center plate killing enemies, one person should always be at the totem, and one person should be moving back and forth between them. As each team member rotates between these positions, they should be calling out to each other. The person moving from totem to center plate should call out his arrival to relieve the current plate holder. The person on the totem should call out time remaining on the aura. The person in the center calls out any remaining high-priority targets (yellow bar knights first, wizards second, thrall third). When in the center, everyone should be using supers - this generates orbs to allow the next person to use their super.
Warpriest: Fireteam splits into 3 two-man teams. When this is the challenge, we predetermine who will step on each plate. One person on the right side team (strongest player) defends from the far side so he can call out the sequence order. Left side team shoots the Warpriest whenever possible to draw his aggression. The Titan places a blessing bubble directly behind the aura position, to allow everyone to move in an out as needed. If there's a second titan, he places a weapons bubble in the same location. Titans should move to place their bubbles as the glyph sequence starts. Hunters hit the Warpriest with tethers (without overlapping each other if more than one). Regardless of the glyph sequence, always attack the Warpriest from the right side first, then center, then center again if a third phase is needed.
Golgoroth Phase (Challenge Mode): Fireteam splits into 2 three-man teams - one for the left side and one for the right side. After killing enemies, all but the first gaze holder position themselves forward right and pepper Golgoroth to draw his attention. When gaze holder is ready at the back left, he drops the back-left orb and grabs the gaze. Everyone else drops down to the pool to begin the DPS sequence. Titans can solar melee (melting point) Golgoroth on their way past). Hunter places a tether in between the pool and Golgoroth when melting point is done. One person on the DPS team is assigned to controlling enemies, although this is not usually needed until the taken arrive. Whoever gets the unstable light leaves the pool immediately and gets in position to grab the gaze from the right side. First gaze holder counts down from 7 seconds, and the person with the unstable light grabs the gaze before the countdown ends. Hunters doing DPS should cover the team in the pool with an invisibility melee when the countdown hits zero. When this is the challenge, the DPS team trades the gaze back and forth (left, right, left, right) until everyone has held it. Clear adds, rinse and repeat.
Sisters: Just like the video above. We place a person at all four platforms, with a single floater starting at the center mid-level platform across from the targeted sister. The platform team clears adds until the runner calls out they have the relic, then all move to join the floater (tossing AoE grenades at remaining spawn points). Hunters don't use their tethers on the first sister, as there should be plenty of time to down her without it. After the sister dies, everyone clears the remaining enemies from the platform. Whoever is torn next must call out that they're torn, so the previous runner will take that person's job. Anyone/everyone should call out the starting platform to assist the runner. Hunters use their tether(s) on the second sister to ensure she dies before time runs out.
Oryx: Full writeup here. Titan in the center between sister platforms places a (bastion, illuminated) blessing bubble just before Oryx slams. Titan and the floater use Touch of Malice and the blessing to drop each ogre in turn. The Titan takes out the 4th knight. The Floater assists with any remaining knights/eyes after the fourth Ogre dies. Each platform person drops a grenade on their Ogre spawn (and a sniper round or two, time allowing) before killing their knight. The platform team evacuates to the center bubble as soon as the relic is taken, finishing their knights from the center if needed (that's normal for the 3rd platform person). The platform team helps the runner kill the Vessel (yellow bar knight), then assists with any remaining knights/eyes/acolytes/thrall. The Runner calls out when Oryx's chest is about to open, and all but the Titan fire to stagger Oryx (The Titan may still be killing the fourth knight). Everyone clears enemies from the safety of the aura in the center. When this is the challenge, we move the aura closer to the "Thunderdome" location to have an easier time killing the enemies that continue to spawn. Hunters can place tethers to trap enemies and generate orbs. We've started using a suicide Sunsinger Warlocks inside the Thunderdome to draw out the shade and call out when the Shade is charging. After 16 bombs are on the ground and most enemies are clear, four guardians detonate their bombs simultaneously via a called countdown while the runner continues firing at Oryx's chest (we predetermine who will detonate each set of bombs). If an Ogre teleported and there's a random bomb in the center, the fifth guardian detonates it, otherwise they also fire at Oryx and/or any enemies that threaten the bomb team.
