although, there is a glimmer cooldown if you get too much too fast. not exactly sure how it works, so just keep an eye on the drops, so you don't end up wasting time farming when nothing is dropping.

Raids and strikes are a good way to get glimmer as well. Equip a ghost shell that gives glimmer for whatever enemy you are fighting, or pop a glimmer consumable. I've gotten a ton of silken codex's (codicies?) in my vault from all the King's Fall runs i've done these past few months.
