I ran this a couple times on Tuesday. The center/right crossover is definitely the better approach - it's faster to the supercharge and the slam. In order for it to work, everyone on the team needs to fully understand what to do in each situation, and it's critical to call out the teleport location as soon as possible (non-empowered guardians can watch him). The empowered folks may not be able to see Aksis teleport, so they need to move to the right place on the callout. While doing damage, it's critical to re-identify and position the newly empowered guardians as fast as possible - even if it means not doing damage.

There's a little leeway on the timing, there were times when the supercharge seemed to be simultaneous with the slam (or even a moment after) and it didn't fail the challenge.
