Playstation Black Friday sales are up. (Destiny)
Xbox deals were indeed a good way to gauge what the PSN sales would be.
The whole list is here (as well as more sales that are part of the general weekly sales), but here are some highlights:
- Overwatch for $34.79: Fun game that's constantly changing up and adding new stuff, all future content to be free of charge.
- Destiny: The Collection for $39.59. Tell your friends.
- Witcher 3 Complete Edition for $24.99. We've discussed this. Get it, switch settings to Alternate Movement, and enjoy the best (and most mature) RPG in years.
- Shadow of Mordor: Game of the Year Edition for $7.99 Really fun Assassin's Creed-esque game set in Middle Earth, with a fantastic Nemesis system (enemies that kill you get promoted, but you can game the system to promote people that you control or want to take things from). Nothing but nice things to say about this game, and having all DLC included? Done deal.
- Tales From The Borderlands: Complete Season for $1.49 A standalone story set after the events of Borderlands 2, the writing in this game is fantastic, and true to the spirit of the games. Telltale is only getting better at their craft, and this game shines. Getting it all for under $2? Buy it even if you've never played the games, but like good (bad) humor and storytelling.
- Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection for $19.79. If you are interested in the Borderlands games, The Handsome Jack Collection will completely overload you with content (like seriously, there is an insane amount of content here), and you'll be able to see why Stabbim considers Handsome Jack as one of the great villains in gaming. It's got four-player co-op and split-screen support. Fun for the whole family!
- Hitman: Complete Season for $29.99. Cyber likes it, and we like Cyber. Plus, my siblings and I had a lot of fun doing one of the missions, so I might pick it up.
- Dishonored: Definitive Edition for $9.99 Get yourself pumped for the well-reviewed sequel!
- Game of Thrones: Season Pass for $3.99. Like games that rip your heart out constantly? This one does a good job of putting you into the Game of Thrones world, and all that entails.

Dirt Rally is 60% off. It's the best racing game available on PS4. I've talked about it a bit before, but if you like no-frills, hardcore racers, Dirt Rally is pretty much as good as it gets

Seriously itching for that one

TftB for $1.49?! Holy hell people, GET IT.
Holy crap people, buy that right now.

It's true.

Dirt Rally is the best rally game I've played since RalliSport Challenge 2, which came out in 2004 on the original XBox.

I hope it's as cheap on XBone. A game set in the Borderlands universe but with different (read: hopefully less grindy) gameplay sounds great to me.

20 obamas on XBL :(

And I bought this full price a few weeks ago...
:)
Hey are we PS+ friends? Can we compare times? (I'm currently teh suck, so it'd give me something to strive for).

Bought. Also, the store is back up now.

I was concerned at first whether Telltale's writers would be up to the task, but they've got me sold on it completely. Cameos seem a bit far-fetched and contrived at times, but it's all in the name of a fun story, so it's all good.

Strive for finishing races consistently. If you're doing that, you've succeeded. :)

Indeed. Right now I'll make it through most of a race series in career mode before careening off a cliff & having to start all over.

That damn wooden fence at Monte Carlo...

I'm pretty sure we are, but my PS4 is rarely connected online, so I'm not sure most of my Dirt Rally times have been uploaded. I'll try to make sure I launch Dirt Rally and sync this weekend.
But stabbim is right--just finishing races consistently is a success. It truly is an intense, hardcore game. I love it for that. I still rarely finish better than 3rd (in the Professional series), and I'm lucky if I can get that high in overall standings for a series.
Stabbim posted some good tips for setting up the steering sensitivity that I really liked.

I've totally scrapped everything since then and started over. I'm now running sensitivity at 5. I don't remember exactly what I have linearity at, but I think it's 60ish?

Huh? Like, in your message, email, where?

It's one of the first things in the Deals marketplace.
Anyway, the code is D9NGJ7NF3L. Type it in once you're in the Shopping Cart for the bonus discount.

That said, I'd hold off on buying games until the last min..

There are strong whispers coming from Sony about the monthly Flash Sale going live on Friday, so I'd let any purchases sit in the shopping cart unless you plan to start playing them immediately, or they're real cheap (such as TftB).

For those who can still tolerate physical games...
Walmart's revealed their Black Friday prices, including Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 for $27 each! Assuming you can live with the guilt of all the people that you trample on that fateful night...
Prices aren't updated on their site, as the sale starts tomorrow, but be sure to keep your eyes open! I'll wait to see if That Titanfall/BF1 combo is available on PSN, but yeh, I know some folks prefer physical for whatever reason.

Tolerate? How about prefer?!

Still worth it IMO
But if you've waited this long presumably you're not completely sold on it, so maybe hold out for a deal.

Playstation Flash Sales are up early!
All Sales here. Remember to add Promo Code D9NGJ7NF3L for an extra 10% off your entire order!
- Skyrim Special Edition- $29.99 Nowhere near as mod-friendly as the Xbone version (until Sony gets their heads out of their butts), so if you have to grab one version, grab that one. That said, $30 to go back to Tamriel ain't bad at all, and most quality-of-life mods have made the jump over to Playstation, so while you won't get to replace dragons with Thomas the Tank Engine, you'll be able to overhaul most of the game's systems.
- DOOM- $19.79 A fast-paced bloodbath with actual depth to the gameplay, $20 ain't a bad price at all.
- Titanfall 2- $35.99 I think it's pretty obvious that those of us who have picked it up love it. Campaign is a treat, multiplayer is fun and diverse, and all DLC will be completely free.
- Battlefield 1 + Titanfall 2- $74.99 Two solid games at a Buy one Get One for $15? Quite a steal. Again, Titanfall.
- Modern Warfare Remastered- $59.99 The game that changed it all, now available on current consoles. One of the few 10/10 campaigns that I've ever played, just extra prettied up, and now with Skulls/modifiers!
... Oh yeah, and you get Infinite Warfare with it, but whatever.
- Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20th Anniversary Celebration Edition- $39.59 Tomb Raider was a great reboot for the franchise, and this one also got great reviews all around. The PS4 version comes with all DLC content included (including a two-player Survival mode), so grab it while you can!
- Fallout 4- $19.79 + Season Pass for $29.99 The first Fallout game that I had fun playing, so that's saying something. Essentially Skyrim with guns and more character depth. A majority of mods require some piece of DLC or another, so I recommend picking it up with the season pass if you want it. Real fun game!
- Batman: Return to Arkham- $29.99 Arkham Games are fun, and here you get two remastered editions with DLC included. Pretty neat.
- Bioshock: The Collection- $41.99 Essentially four campaigns (and a side-story) in one, This is pretty much a must-have for people who enjoy great atmosphere, storytelling, and gameplay. Really great games...
And these are just the sales on Page 1! Page 2 has stuff like Deus Ex and Metal Gear Solid V: Definitive Edition for under $34...

Note about Skyrim
Best Buy has the physical disc for $25 for both the XB1 and PS4. Microsoft also has the digital version for $30 online.
