I vote before. I don't think they are really linked in any way. (based on my playing PvP before I began my slow progress through story.)

Before works :) I'm still getting a feel for the controls and often throw a grenade when trying to melee (why can't they have a control scheme like puppeteer?).

Edit: maybe I just need to cut over to bumper jumper for both destiny & titan fall.
