After someone picks up the Sword Bearer's sword, they're not allowed to pick it up again. They can drop it as needed (by switching weapons), but just like the Warpriest aura they can't be a sword runner again. This effectively means you need a different Guardian to run up and sword-slam Crota for each cycle where you're downing him.

Beware Sunsingers, if they die while holding the sword they CANNOT self-res & pickup the sword. We found that one out the hard way.
