It's Comic-Con; if you're not spending unfortunate amounts of money you're doing it wrong :)

So what is the going rate for internetz in hotels these days? Or... do you use a hotspot? O_O

No hotspot; I think it was actually a wired connection in the room. Not speedy but I don't recall it being overly expensive. Just as with Schedonnardus, it needed the first night just to download.

I'm ignoring the idea that just popped in my head about using public wifi. The Horror.

Public Wifi is a joke at Comic-Con. It exists but is so swamped by 150,000 people that it's effectively broken. The cell networks get overwhelmed too - I think it was the same Con when Destiny launched that the cell companies had to deploy special trucks to add capacity.
