Think GTA with zombies. The survival edition includes both DLCs from the original (endless / NG+ mode and a whole new scenario on a brand new map) and has updated GFX for the Xbone.

SoD 2 was previewed at E3 this year, and it looks like they're just giving us more of the best stuff. The trailer had a neat twist, too, where the narrator got killed halfway through and then a character they'd rescued early on picked up the narration from there on out.
