I don't know how they spent that money. I'm sure it went back into supporting the game, but I wouldn't say players saw any evidence of that. I don't feel like the launch of Eververse significantly changed the way they supported Destiny.

FWIW, I'm not saying it didn't change, just that those changes weren't directly noticeable by the end user. I don't think they necessarily need to be, but it'd probably help more folks be okay with it if they were.

That wasn't what I asked. I KNOW we don't know how the money was used - that was part of my point. My question to Avateur was "do you have any evidence that they used the money in a way that did not benefit users?"

The answer to that question is (as you've stated, sort of) "no" - because there's no evidence in ANY direction, really. And I'm fine with people saying "I don't know how that money was used" and even "I wish I knew how that money was used", but not so much with "obviously they aren't going to use the money to benefit you, lol". That was really the only point of my post.

Fair enough. I wasn't trying to be argumentative. Just pointing out that I guess I can sort of see how someone would look at Destiny 1 and feel like microtransactions weren't beneficial to the game. That's probably any unfair assumption. Even as simple as it seems, I bet the Age of Triumph stuff was a real pile of work. If that was funded from Eververse, does it mean that it wouldn't have happened without Eververse? I dunno, none of us do.

At a certain point, you either take Bungie at their word that Eververse is directly funding the live team, or you think they're liars. I don't think it really gets us anywhere either way, to be honest.
