Companion Application issues (PS4) (Destiny)

I haven't been able to log into the Bungie Companion Application for a number of weeks. It has become frustrating. I have been hoping for it to be mentioned in the Weekly Update as something that is being prioritized.

I know it is not effecting that many people
However, I'm not the only one out there (didn't pull them all as it is not very simple to do on b.net forum search/software)

I'd recommend that others not log out of their accounts within the Companion Application

I'd love help or suggestions from anyone out there (besides buy a new phone (though this within my long term consideration) or download umpteen system software updates that will break everything else)

I feel like I've tried just about everything, even raising a Help Ticket with Sony (I haven't tried de-authorizing my device on my bungie.net account - I don't want to screw anything up further. If anyone has any experience de-authorizing and reauthorizing the same device with no adverse consequences I'd love to hear about it)
