Bleh, not my favorite effect. That dude looks great in motion though,

I'm not a fan either. I like that it can draw the eyes/brain focus towards a certain area of an image or frame up the screen. It can also attempt to give the appearance of motion. it just is not pleasing to my eye/brain. I don't want a blurry image on my computers desktop wallpaper.

Why go through the trouble of building stunning, detailed, graphics if you are just going to make them "less pleasing" to the eye with overly emphasized effects that cause massive blurring. Why utilize overblowing, blinding, lighting effects?
I don't feel that it draws me in or enhances the realism, just the opposite, I feel like it pushes me away.
HDR ≠ realism

I can't help but have flashbacks to Reach's Winter Contingency blurry 'double vision' opening sequences.
(hurts my brains)
