One of the things I've always preferred about consoles is the mostly-level playing field where you didn't have to worry about things like that, but it's looking like that ship has sailed.
Is the game cross gen now? Can PS5 play with PS4, and Series X play with X? If so, then yeah. Going against someone in PvP who can see more and has twice the responsiveness you do wouldn't really be 'fair'.But if it's still platform segregated, I don't see the problem… everyone would have access to the exact same options.
According to the article,
For cross-generation play, Xbox Series X|S players can play with Xbox One players. PlayStation 5 players can play with PlayStation 4 players.
