The game is pretty (Destiny)

You know I daydreamed of experiencing this expansion/contraction with the latest tech, all settings to max (short of having to buy a PC--not my thing). I hated the idea of turning off HDR, but ever since I have, I've just been loving everything I see.

It's a beautiful game. I was mourning the loss of the Arcology--I love Bungie's futurist environments (loved Exodus, New Alexandra, and many of the levels from Oni), but the Braytech areas--oh my! Very Kubricky. I can almost hear HAL whispering. And this in particular caught my eye.

If it made you think what I thought, then I'm not crazy, and I know, I know--it's just coincidence. It's very unlikely that it's anything deliberate. I smiled, though.

Still don't get it? I used the adjective Kubricky before.
