I think I'm going to be sympathizing a lot with this mindset in the near future.

I have three pieces of gear left to get to 1330 on my main, only one of which is armour.

It would be so simple to have pinnacle drops do checks to ensure they don't give gear for a slot that you don't need it, that I'm sure it's an intentional design decision. And that makes me sad.
