I thought the synergy abilities were going to be a much larger part of combat than they are.

Woah woah.

The “extend stagger” ones may not do much, but being able to get INFINITE MP and THREE ATB BARS is so sick. You’ll probably use them more on hard mode for these unique effects.

Synergy SKILLS are likewise sick. I constantly used counter fire, spellbound blast, and power cleave. They’ll build ATB for both characters at the same time.

I'll reply to both of you here. What I meant was, a lot of the fights are so short that the synergy abilities don't even charge up. I only recently learned/realized the skills charge ATB and I need to take advantage of that more.

I also recently used the infinite mana one for the first time with aerith+barrett and that was an eye opener. Up until then I mostly used the "extend stagger" it was unclear to me how much it was helping.

Cody--what characters do you like using in combat? What's your "main squad"? I want to use aerith more but she is so slow and gets interrupted so easily.
