This is fun. (Destiny)

I can't really say that all the fun I'm having is just because of the update, but a lot of that is great. With all the stuff returning to the loot pool (Black Armory weapons!), it's great that just about anything you can do in the game feels relevant. That has always been one of Destiny's biggest flaws--as the game moved forward, old content just became sort of useless. It's so good to have a reason to return to old stuff. I've been doing Public Events and Lost Sectors of all things, and it's fun trip down memory lane.

I also started going through the Edge of Fate stuff properly. The matter spark mechanic sucks ass, but the campaign itself has been fun so far, and it's actually really interesting. It's even more of a bummer now to know we'll not get this story in full, because I think the Nine are vastly more interesting than most of the stuff that's been in Destiny prior to this point.

It's just cool to be having fun in Destiny again, honestly. I still can't get used to whatever they did to power weapons, though. They all feel awful. Not a single one I've found can even come close to touching the damage of my throwing hammer with Wormgods.
