Gold? (Destiny)

Reach went Gold on August 5th or 6th and shipped September 14. That's some 39 days between the two. By the same standard Destiny would have gone gold August 1st. Assuming Bungie didn't forget to tell us (which would be silly) I wonder how the development and crunch of Reach looked like compared to Destiny.

I think they didn't tell us to be honest, I can't imagine them printing the game and shipping them all out in less than 3 weeks worth of time. Someone correct me if they know better, but that's what I would guess.

On the other hand it is entirely possible they are still working on the game and the day one patch will be the "gold" version of the game.
