Pikes? Where are the Pikes? (Destiny)

I've only ever encountered them on the story mission The Dark Beyond and once every so often on Moon Patrol abandoned by a player. Wherever people are finding Pikes in Patrol at the Cosmodrome and on the Moon is totally beyond me.

Pretty sure you can encounter Pikes on patrols on the Moon if another player (in your party or not) on the server is doing a Story mission and debarks. It takes a while for the Pike to de-res.

-- Steve hasn't tried to board one to see if it persists or not. Something to consider the next time he's trolling for helium...
