MIDA Multi-Tool (It's an exotic Scout Rifle) (Destiny)

From what I've seen watching streamers and looking up info online, the MIDA Multi-Tool does not actually do this... I don't know if it is supposed to and just isn't working as intended, or if we're misunderstanding what it's supposed to do. Either way, I got super hyped when I heard about the Multi-Tool and then really bummed as more and more sources say it doesn't do squat except for point "north".

Speaking of pointing, does the Suros Regime compass still point at Threshold? :-p
