Persistent universe

A living, breathing universe would be the holy grail. Events that occur within the universe are somehow etched into the fabric of the universe - they become history. A new player who plays Destiny first in Destiny 2, Electric Bugaloo could read or otherwise access history as it played out in Destiny 1.

Sure, single players can stay home on their boxes and never set foot online, but then perhaps, they cannot participate in the shaping of the shared world.

History made by the players. The universe completely shaped by the players. No such thing as a release, just...expansions? Events?

An experiment without limits. A world without end. This is the revolution I hope for from Bungie.
