What this means is that Bungie either straight up lied about it, or that they messed up.
Nah, I like Option D in that thread:"We still don't have a damage formula for this game and people are ignoring the 'base' part of the comment. I mean sure, the fact that it does about half of what it used to is fishy, but we don't actually know how crucible damage is calculated anyway. It's almost certain that it's got a completely different damage formula to the rest of the game and it has neither been revealed, nor worked out." CookieFTA --- In addition, Bungie needs to be more descriptive and vocal on how certain buffs/nerfs apply.
I wish they'd give us the formula too, for PVP and PVE. Then we could judge stuff like this more properly.
