Of course, as per Cody's usual 'my subjective is objective' perspective, this only means the red spot disappears by 2030 IF the current rate of shrinkage continues without change. (You can see the speculation on pages like this.)

I think it's unlikely it would stick around for another 300 years to last through the golden age, even if it slows in its shrinking.
