I know they take less damage from Secondaries and Heavies, but I thought they take normal damage from Primaries? Body shots I mean. Obviously headshots do less damage because they have double head armour compared to normal enemies.

I never knew about the head armor thing. My statement was actually only based on primaries, I've tested it with several different kinds of primaries on yellowbar enemies at levels 6 and 20, and probably some others I forgot.
