Acquiring third sublcass? (Destiny)

Do we unlock these by completing specific missions or something? How cool would that be, a little quest or story about unlocking your new subclass?
Sounds really cool. Discovering some long-forgotten cache of knowledge, or seeking out some secretive outcast Guardian who "knows things," and so on. I wouldn't be surprised if there are subsequent training missions designed to show off the new abilities.

Certainly the concept of new focuses has been around all along. :)
