I've had adults in Warframe pay me Platinum to ferry them through missions. If you add a trade economy, it's ridiculously easy to exploit. I say that because I've seen that happen.

And once again, I get it, it WOULD happen some. But even in your example, you are promising a specific, super expensive item, not saying "Hey give me money and I'll help you get 9 random drops." There is a difference in magnitude there. While the after round trading could introduce SOME exploitation, it wouldn't be to the same degree as a normal trading system does in an MMO.

The second example I gave is specifically about getting paid for a "chance" at getting them drops that they wanted (You are guaranteed something from a specific pool in specific missions in Warframe, but it's still RNG).

Heck, I have sold Rare Keys to specific missions, then was asked to help them run those keys (which also gets me rewards from the exclusive pool). It's like selling someone two concert tickets, then they ask you to go with them because they don't want to go alone.

People are weird. Like Sched says below, people are selling Trials runs, and they're making money out of donations.
