best way to get Trials coins? (Destiny)

Is there a surefire way to get coins (like how the daily story gives you ascendant materials)?
Yes. The first match you play each day (per character) on the "daily featured crucible playlist" (at the top-right of the Director) gives a guaranteed coin.
All four of the packages you get (for hitting 2, 4, 6, and 8 wins) also give at least a few coins each.
