"The wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die."

I'm curious about the above quote with how it plays out in the trailer and what implications it has regarding The Fallen.

I know others have suggested that perhaps The Fallen used to be part of humanity but have since "fallen" from our ranks to become what they are now. While this would be a rather literal interpretation of their name, I think this passage as presented in the trailer might lend some credence to that theory. Then again, maybe not.

My gut reaction says that this line of thought is a little too on-the-nose, but I suppose it's a fine line between reading too far and missing what's right in front of you. :) Curious what others think, though.

I think...and Ill even go so far as to say I know... that if you want to understand the verse you need to understand the poem. Then you can put the possible context to Destiny that Bungie has - hinted seems to weak a word - at.

This was very much about the Guardians and not so much their foes. After all, the strength of the pack helps the wolves take down those many times their size.
