Yes, too harsh. I watched it a couple more times. Definitely took a lot of work and now think it's reaching a so bad it's good status. A la Evil dead.

It nails a level of special effects that was typical when they first started using green screens. You saw a lot of it in live-action children's programming in the 70s. I think it's going for that. Given that Destiny also involves 70s sci fi aesthetics at times, it kind of fits, but that's a stretch.

Regardless, I loved it.
